We are available for the inspection of helidecks on offshore vessels and installations operating in Nigeria and West Africa waters, utilising the criteria in the NCAA Aerodromes Standards Manual, the UK CAP437 and as laid down in the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) publication Annex 14 Volume 2 as the basis for our inspections.

Our inspection covers three areas:

  • The training and competence of personnel employed in helideck operations and the operating procedures.
  • The main safety concerns on any helideck are landing area size and obstructions, but crew training, turbulence criteria .

  • Our inspectors have been conducting deck inspections for many years. Our reports are used as authority by many companies.

  • Helicopter support remains the primary mode of support for the industry in offshore exploration, drilling and production activities.

  • Increased offshore Aviation support has critical need of Federal and International Regulatory compliance and Safety oversight.
