We are the only indigenous helideck inspection company in Nigeria that had the technical support and working relationship agreement with the Helideck Certification Agency, HCA, UK for 5 years from 2012 to 2017.
OHS carries out the inspections of helidecks in accordance with the requirements of ICAO Annex 14, Vol. II, the guidance of Civil Aviation Publication, CAP437, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAR Part 12, the Aerodrome Standards manual and best industry practice.
NCAA is the sole Government body responsible for certification of heliports in Nigeria, and OHSL facilitates the NCAA inspection and approvals for heliports.
We develop helideck manuals and obtain NCAA approval in accordance with NCAA standard template as a mandatory requirement for the issuance of a helideck certificate.
We are experienced safety managers in the Oil and Gas Industry Aviation with our Managing Director, Captain Nat Evuarherhe having worked in Exxonmobil as the head of Helicopter Operations for 8 years, from 2000 to 2008 at the Qua Iboe Terminal.
- Captain Nat was responsible for day to day helicopter operations and the development of heliport procedures for QIT and the 74 helidecks.
We are also a Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority’s – NCAA - accredited Helideck Inspectors.
